1. Why does your chiropractor adjust you?
A chiropractic adjustment removes subluxations from your spine.
2. What is a subluxation?
A subluxation is a misaligned vertebra (bone in the spine) that causes muscle imbalance, bone degeneration (arthritis), and most importantly; nervous system interference that causes the body to function improperly and eventually can lead to poor health.
3. What causes subluxation?
Any combination of physical stress, like falls or getting hit; emotional stress, like anger, fear or guilt; chemical stress, such as pollution, bad foods, alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, (how many more can you name?).
4. What is nervous system interference?
Millions of instructions flow from your brain down your spinal cord and out to every organ, gland muscle and other cells in your body. Signals sent back to your brain confirm whether your body is working correctly. Nervous system interference is anything that interrupts the instructions or the signals returning to the brain. Subluxation is a primary cause of nervous system interference.
5. Do subluxations hurt?
Like early stages of tooth decay, cancer, or heart disease subluxation can be present before the warning signals appear.
6. Is chiropractic safe for newborns and kids?
Even “natural” childbirth methods can affect an infant’s spine. Colic, unusual crying, poor appetite, ear infections, erratic sleeping habits may be signs of spinal distress/subluxation and nervous system interference. Chiropractic is the safe natural way of treating children.
