It’s Cool Not to Be Cold!

January 23, 2025 By Dr. Pat Dougherty 3 Comments

Walking home at 9:30 at night, I took my fleece, but it is tied around my neck.  It is 65 degrees out side, the air is still. It’s wonderful to not be cold.

We are returning from 2+ hours at a bar/cafe. We’ve been listening to some very fine music, talking to the musicians and other people who are there for the entertainment. We could have done this in Spokane, but we didn’t. Somehow it is easier now, easier to walk everywhere, easier to find a comfortable venue, easier to talk to people, easier to stay warm.

Part of it is simply what is in my head, part of it is the shift in culture. No matter what it is, that is why we are out here. We want to feel the shift. We want to find out what we want and where we want it. We want to escape our comfort zones.

It is becoming easier to do all of that, and besides, it’s cool not to be cold!

Good thing you’re not here, it’s cold, and I am wearing my fleece over several layers and I have on a jacket, hat and gloves when walking outside
Glad you’re experiencing fun, good music 🎶 and walking around not cold. Enjoy the beauty of where you are, drink deeply of the richness of your surroundings

I’m glad it’s warm where you’re at. Here it is very cold. Adara and I took a walk and a half around the park and were frozen by the time we got back.
