The Chiropractic Lifestyle

Thrive, Don’t Just Survive! From it’s beginning in 1895 chiropractic focused on physical, chemical, and emotional stress. However, as the years passed chiropractic became simplified, not just in the eyes of the public, but also in the eyes of many chiropractors. Today many people think of chiropractic as a simple “crack the back” profession. A Chiropractic Lifestyle acknowledges the importance of all three stress categories (not just the spine), and attempts to resolve all three categories of stress. My greatest challenge as a chiropractor is to communicate the importance of all three stresses: Physical, such as a fall or repetitive stress injury, chemical, which may be bad food or medications, and emotional, which may be any stressful situation. The chiropractic adjustment may correct any of the three stresses by reducing or eliminating spinal subluxation. However, there are times when only the physical stress is corrected by the adjustment. Other stresses may be present...

Chiropractic Care Helps Fibromyalgia Patient

Chiropractic care is often thought of only in terms of relief from a back or neck injury, perhaps suffered in an auto accident or in lifting a too-heavy weight improperly.  But the plain truth is that case studies suggest many different health problems may respond to a regular program of chiropractic care. According to a recent case study, the condition known as fibromyalgia, a neurological disorder characterized by pain and a lack of coordination in muscle movements, was resolved following a regimen of chiropractic adjustments. “There are certainly no guarantees with any course of care,” said Dr. Pat Dougherty, a Spokane -based chiropractor who strives to keep current with the latest research and developments in health and wellness. “And every case depends on the specific factors associated with that case.  But we see, from time to time, individual case studies that give rise to hope for many.” Dr. Curtis Fedorchuk, the Georgia chiropractor...

Chiropractic as a Wellness Intervention

Chiropractic as a Wellness Intervention Chiropractic is often thought of as an intervention for neck and back pain, nothing more. To a great extent, this attitude is the fault of us chiropractors. Now, more than ever however, people need to understand what chiropractic is, and how it is absolutely necessary. For the majority of the population, life today has become pathologically stressful. We are inundated with more than ever before with toxins in our food, our air, our water, even in our technological devices which pollute us energetically. We spend more time sitting and performing repetitious actions than ever before in history. Unfortunately, sitting and repetition are not ways to increase physical health. The world has become more com-petitive and people often feel ever increasing pressure to perform – at home, at work, at school, at sports, and more. In short, life has never been more stressful, and it is evident...

If You Ever Use the WebMD Website, Read This!

Most people do not understand what autoimmune disease is. Yet, about one out of every six U.S. citizens has an autoimmune disease (AID). No other place on earth has such a large proportion of diagnosed AID citizens. More than 75% of those diagnosed with an AID are women. Over 150 diseases have been classified as autoimmune. Most people buy into the belief that AID is a case of the brain and body going crazy and attacking itself. In reality, the immune system is just doing the job it has been programmed to do, clean up dead and damaged cells and their fragments. This cell death, scientific name necrosis, is the result of chronic inflammation, infection, toxicity, and/or even nutritional excess or deficiency. Many times the necrotic cells make up organs or glands. These dead cells are released into the living matrix where the body has many methods of cleaning them up...

Parasites

Parasites are one of the most difficult conditions we know. They may be able to change their structure to survive and escape many kinds of treatment. They may be completely cleared from one area, say the GI tract, but still be in another area like the bile duct. The survivors then breed and start the whole process again. It may take several cultures at different times to even identify them. This is because they may be in different stages and some stages may not show up at all. Parasites may cause a wide variety of symptoms, and even of conditions and named diseases. A partial list follows: itchy ears, nose or anus sexual dysfunction, menstrual cycle problems forgetfulness, Alzheimer’s Disease or mimicking symptoms, unclear thinking slow relexes loss of appetite, or voracious appetite yellowing of skin around mouth or face fast heart beats, heart or chest pain pain in or around...
