About Pat Dougherty, D. C. Upon graduation I opened a practice in Denver, CO. After nearly 11 years of work in Denver I moved to Spokane, WA in December of 2004. I was ready for a fresh start with new challenges and Spokane offered me that opportunity. The generosity and support of my chiropractic college roommate, Dr. Loren Miller, D.C., allowed me to make the move. I recently moved (on April 1, 2008) from the office space I shared with Dr. Miller, long a pillar of the chiropractic community in Spokane. In addition to my office in Denver and here in Spokane, my training includes 7 years as the team chiropractor and trainer for Colorado Foothills Volleyball Club. Prior to chiropractic school I spent many years playing competitive two-man beach volleyball. My experience with both the competitive and medical trainer aspects of volleyball affords me a unique and valuable perspective for the treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries. It has also taught me the value of chiropractic care for peak performance enhancement in sports. The result of these experiences is a practice that offers care for:
I will be honored when you give me the opportunity to put over 14 years of experience as a chiropractor to work for you. I strive to listen to, and acknowledge each patient’s concerns. Then I can ask appropriate questions, questions that allow me to reach a resolution with the patient. That resolution must address the patient's goal. This is my primary goal. I have another goal, however, to expand the patient's view of health and wellness. I want to be more than the fire department, the one who puts out the fire in the patient's body. I want to be the one to guide a patient into a healthier, happier lifestyle that addresses the underlying factors that caused them to seek a natural health care provider, a chiropractor, in the first place. Then a whole new world can open. A world of increased clarity, happiness, and energy; better digestion, sleep and much more. The possibilities are incredible and open-ended. The key is to realize that wellness is about much more than pain, or other symptoms, going away.
